What is Adaptive Difficulty in Mortal Shell II?

An experimental optional setting from the September 5, 2026 update. It is off by default under Game > Game Settings > Adaptive Difficulty and can be toggled at any time. It raises or lowers enemy damage, health, and break resist based on what you defeat and where you die, then relaxes toward standard balance as play changes. Ease-downs do not apply during Night Mode. Why do my weapons disappear on Zmey?

How do I heal?

Mether's Pulse is the flask (R on PC, D-pad Up on Xbox). Beacons refill Pulse and Resolve but respawn enemies. Weltcaps are the world heal. Details: how to heal and Glands & Vessels.

How do I fast travel?

Siphon Ova at the Marrow Keep globe until Mether's Breath unlocks, then use it at any Beacon. Game8 lists 6 Ova; you already start the open world with 3. Full note: fast travel.

Can I respec or change Shells?
