Stamina-Unrestricted Combat

Unlike the original game, Mortal Shell II's combat system is unrestricted by stamina. This allows players to exploit multiple tactics to shatter enemy posture and strike critically without being limited by stamina management.

The combat is described as "clean, agile and grounded" with options to think strategically about upgrading melee and ranged weapons.

Shell Possession System

Players can seek and possess the Shells of eight lost warriors scattered throughout the world. Each Shell has unique innate abilities and strengths, and players can discover their stories by unraveling their secrets and lost memories.

The Shells system allows you to evolve your own combat style by harnessing the diverse unique abilities of each Shell.

Compact Interconnected Open World

Mortal Shell II features a compact, tightly interconnected open world designed with respect for the player's time. The world connects over winding footpaths and is immersive yet deliberately compact, designed to unfold its twisted landscapes and hidden structures.

Those who wander from the golden path can discover new Shells, weaponry, upgrades, curiosities, and more story elements.

Over 60 Dungeons

Scattered between lost landmarks are more than 60 dungeons, each providing a formidable challenge to the talents and weaponry you have accrued on your journey.

Extensive Weapon Upgrades

Mortal Shell II offers deeper weapon design with extensive upgrade options. Combat choices are bolstered by powerful sidearms (ranged weapons) and multiple upgrade paths for melee weapons.

Emphasis on Free Exploration

The sequel places a significant emphasis on free exploration. Players are rewarded for wandering with new story elements, Shells, strange and powerful weaponry, upgrades, and curiosities.

New Story and Setting

In Mortal Shell II, you play as the Harbinger, a being prophesied to reclaim the blessed Undermether's stolen Ova from the daunting creatures that ruthlessly guard her unborn.
