Mortal Shell 2 Blackridge Cliffs Walkthrough

Goals for this area
- Activate Blackridge Pass Beacon and take the Fainweald map fragment west / left of it, on the lower island reached by bridges.
- Unlock Proxima in the Shattered Beacon. Finish her first memory so the Shell is permanent.
- Clear King's Crypt for Veteran's Battle Axe if you want a heavy early two-hander.
- Open Flooded Village on the same north loop for Forgotten Crossbow.
- Tag Cavern Entrance Beacon on the cliff edge. Do not feel required to push the corruption into Stones of Remembrance yet.
Step-by-step
- Arrive from Widow's Overlook. Head north. You will pass cultists fighting a Tarred Vestige — that fight is a landmark, not a gate.
- Proxima. Continue toward the white spider-like Infested Stalkers until you see a glimmering broken beacon. Enter the dungeon, inhabit the body on the table, finish the memory. Proxima is the stasis / Biosampler Shell; she is one of the two Zhirelle marks you get for free.
- Blackridge Pass Beacon and map. Rest. Look west of the Beacon for the lower island and the crow / statue map station.
- Flooded Village detour. The wooden-arch illusion gate is on this same north side. Crossbow now makes the rest of Fainweald safer.
- King's Crypt / Veteran's Battle Axe. The dungeon drops into a hole; the axe is on the body at the rear of that room. If the drop looks like a trap, it is the pickup room.
- Holding Cells well. One well sits in Blackridge Hamlet, the other in Gloomshade Grove. Full route: Holding Cells. The Pack is a spike — RPS postpones it on a first Blackridge pass.
- Cavern Entrance. Rest on the cliff. The corruption opposite opens Stones of Remembrance once you have Mether's Breath and time for a confusing region. A second corruption patch later in the cliffs is another entrance to the same graveyard.
What to leave for later
- Stones of Remembrance overlap with One-Legged Wolf and Mushroom Village. Clearing it after Temple of Vatra is how Rock Paper Shotgun sequences the 100% route.
- Broodshell Swarm (two Leechtongues and a Bell Snail) sits in a watery enclave once you are inside that graveyard. See the Broodshell Swarm page.
- Crumbling Tunnel east of Proxima's Shattered Beacon is a one-way collapse after the Triarch Repeater map. Grab materials before the tablet.
West from here is Gloomshade Grove and the Citadel of Penance.
