Mortal Shell 2 Nayleshotte — Starter Sidearm
Updated September 4, 2026 · Checked for the current launch build
Quick answer: Automatic with the prologue loadout. Open Beta skips already have it equipped. Replace it when you have the Crossbow or Lute; Emberseed Stone and Confessor's Keepsake are the usual early pairings.

How to get Nayleshotte
- Claimed with Harros and the Iconoclast during the prologue.
- It stays on the Harbinger after Harros is gone.
- Use it to shoot plates, distant Gloom, and offering candles until a longer sidearm is in hand.
When to use it
- Short range, fast. Fine for puzzles; poor as a main boss plan.
- Balance Patch 1 removed the minimum Resolve requirement from Caged Hystrix and Triarch Repeater, not from this gun.
Before you leave
- Nayleshotte is not a trophy by itself. Heavy Metal is the Lute song trophy; Guns. Lots of Guns is all eight sidearms.
All eight: Troubadour's Lute · Forgotten Crossbow · Salvaged Trebuchaxe · Triarch Repeater · Ballistazooka · Cursed Child · Caged Hystrix.
