Mortal Shell 2 Temple of Vatra Walkthrough

Quick answer: From the One-Legged Wolf Beacon, go east past the tavern, across the bridge and a Bone Gate. Open the three-candle chest for Berserker's Stone, then take the Heart of Vatra from the kneeling statue. Petrified cultists wake up. Return the Heart to Gragu in the tavern.

How to reach it

  1. Fast travel to One-Legged Wolf. Face the tavern, then take the bridge that continues east of it.
  2. Past petrified bodies and bats, use the Bone Gate onto the eastern island.
  3. GameRant notes this island stays fogged even after every Map Fragment. Navigate from the tavern, not the map.
  4. Stairs, large arch, you are in the Temple of Vatra.

Inside

  1. Light the three nearby offering candles and open the chest for Berserker's Stone before you touch the statue.
  2. Climb the main stair with no side turns. The kneeling corrupted statue at the top holds the Heart of Vatra.
  3. Interact with the hands. Petrified enemies stand up and a wall blocks the way you came.
  4. Clear them, then jump down through the broken wall on the statue's left.
  5. Return to Gragu at the tavern, give him the Heart, inhabit the body for Heartless.
Taking the Heart is the fight trigger. Heal and Seal first. The Lute on the tavern stage is the same visit if you still need Heavy Metal.
