Mortal Shell 2 Summons — Should You Spend Glimpse?
Quick answer: Before some bosses you will see a ghostly Shell statue. Spending 1 Glimpse lets that Shell fight with you. Game8's launch advice is do not summon unless you are genuinely stuck — Glimpse is the scarce Shell-Bond currency, about 27 per maxed Shell.

How to summon
- Reach a major boss fog / pre-arena.
- Look for a spectral Shell waiting outside — GameSpot tables list which companion is offered (Smert for Magdalena, Tiel for Lost Child, Eredrim for Nameless Captive, and so on).
- Spend 1 Glimpse to enable that companion for the fight.
This is separate from Genessa's Faithful Doubles or a Grisha Remnant proc. Those do not cost Glimpse.
When it is worth it
- Spend: you have already Bond 4'd your main Shell, you are dying on Malborn Offspring / Monolith, and one Glimpse will not block another Shell you care about.
- Skip: you are still choosing a main Shell. Summons compete with Bond 4 perks and cannot be refunded.
- Balance Patch 1 refunded Glimpse spent on Shell maps, not on summons. Do not expect a statue refund.
