Mortal Shell 2 How to Kick — Smert Only

Quick answer: There is no global kick button. Game8's launch guide is explicit: only Smert can kick. It is part of his Miracle unarmed kit (fists, kicks, ground punches) while time is stopped — not a command every Shell shares.

How to actually kick

  1. Unlock Smert at Prophet's Rest.
  2. Inhabit Smert and activate Miracle (it spends a large chunk of health and stops time).
  3. While Miracle is active you cannot swing your equipped melee weapon. Unarmed inputs become punches, kicks, and ground punches that apply Chaos.
If you are on Tiel, Proxima, or Eredrim and looking for a Dark Souls-style kick, it is not in the kit. Close gaps with a dash, hook (Proxima), or Shoulder Bash (Eredrim) instead.

Why people search this

Soulslike muscle memory expects a kick to break guards or punish turtles. Mortal Shell 2 moved that job onto Seals (Harden / parry) and Shell abilities. Searching "how to kick" usually means you have not unlocked Smert yet, or you are in Miracle and did not realize the unarmed string includes kicks.
