Mortal Shell 2 Widow's Overlook Walkthrough

Goals for this area

• Activate Widow's Overlook Beacon and rest so you have a corpse-run point.
• Collect the first Fainweald map fragment from Ruk (crow / statue pedestal).
• Unlock Tiel. Optionally unlock Proxima to the north the same session.
• Learn Perfect Guard with Genessa back at Marrow Keep if you have not already.

Step-by-step

1. Arrive from Marrow Keep. The roof fast-travel should drop you at Widow's Overlook, not Mammon.
2. Level once. Spend a little Gloom at the Beacon so a death does not wipe a huge pile.
3. First map. Turn around from the Beacon and follow the southeast path. Ruk sits on a statue; the pedestal is the fragment. The first Fainweald map also marks three Corrupted Gates.
4. Optional Great Arbiter of Flesh. The large arena off this path is a hard early optional. Get Tiel first if you want the fight to be fair.
5. Tiel. Keep east toward Mushroom Village but do not enter yet. The fenced, torch-lit enclosure holds Tiel's shallow grave. Interact, finish the memory, and stay in Tiel.
6. Proxima detour (optional). North of Widow's Overlook toward Blackridge Pass / the shattered beacon. Enter the glowing beacon and inhabit Proxima.
7. Continue east into Mushroom Village.

Do not skip

• Festival / Mid Summer? happens in the prologue, not here — but if you already missed it, you cannot get it later.
• Gloombound Flame for Night Mode is on this early Fainweald side. Pick it up even if you will not toggle night yet.
• Mark completed dungeons on the in-game map. The game does not always do it for you.
